Where did I get the plant from:
I have two clones which were grown from seeds, which I received from
Fritz Hochstätter, Germany (fh605.5).
Short description:
Where do I grow the plant:
In a raised well drained bed.
Hardiness:
So far it has been very hardy, it does not show any damage after the
winters.
Notes:
Other notes:
In August 2008 I did cross pollinate the plants with pollen from other Yuccas, but only #870B were able to produce fruits. It was however blooming late in the season, so most of the fruits did not mature before the cold weather arrived. #870A did not have much pollen., but #870B had a lot of pollen. 870B is also self fertile and can produse fruits when self pollinated.
I also use the pollen to pollinated it with but again it was only pollen from #870B which were useful.
